Your homework to be completed in advance of our next class on Thursday:
-If you have not already done so, or in order to further clarify the material, please read Chapter 1 of the Hooktheory I text, which you can find at hooktheory.com. Be sure to log in to your own account to do so.
-Being sure you are logged into your Hooktheory account, and from the Hooktheory home page, click the 'Tabs' button at the top of the screen. Once there, watch the video in the upper right corner called, "What's a Theory Tab?" Then, scroll down the page to see various examples of Theory Tabs. Click the play button next to each to see how they work, and also click where it says 'Full Song' beneath the album art to go to the full Theory Tab page for that song. Take some time to navigate and explore the MANY Theorytabs that are available (knowing that you'll eventually be making your own)!

These videos will introduce to you 'Hookpad' which is the web-based software you will use to start creating your own songs and your own Theorytabs. We will go over this process in detail in class.
