HOOKPAD!
Create your very first 8 measure long song using Hookpad! First, create an 8 measure chord progression--it can be a variation on the two progressions we talked about in class (1-6-4-5, or, 1-5-6-4), it could be influenced by what you read in Chapter 1 of Hooktheory, or you could try something different. Then, add a simple melody that uses only notes that are a part of the chord. In class, we will begin to look at the different ways songwriters use chord tones as well as notes that are outside the chords. Be sure to log in to your own hooktheory account and to click the SAVE button in Hookpad so your work is saved to your account. We will share your new ideas in class on Monday, 9/19. Have fun!
